Entre cifras mareantes (se prevén más de dos millones de visitantes), hoteles a reventar y alquileres con precios disparados, el Orgullo ha echado a andar después de un periplo administrativo de siete años, cuando los colectivos presentaron la candidatura.
Se compitió con Berlín y, finalmente, la capital se hizo con el premio. Madrid es, pues, desde este fin de semana, el escaparate planetario de los derechos y las libertades ciudadanas y de la tolerancia sexual.

WorldPride Madrid 2017 is a 10-day celebration that includes an amazing Pride parade, hundreds of parties, an international human rights conference and an international culture festival.
At the same time, Madrid will host EuroPride 2017.

Yet 10 years ago…
Do you remember 2007? Madrid hosted Europride 2007. It was the most successful pride ever, with an estimated 2.5 million visitors. This huge attendance was not only a success for Madrid, but for the whole LGBT Spanish community, thanks to the celebration of the change of terms in the laws to legalize same-sex marriage and same-sex adoptions.Since then, Madrid emerged as a leader for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer (LGBTQ) tourism, and its Pride events are some of the most well-attended in the world.
Come and celebrate with us what is going to be the biggest and largest Pride celebration ever organized ever organized, in the royal capital of Spain where the sun shines all days, where people are enjoying terraces for tapas, where shops are opened 7 days a week till late, where museums and exhibitions are world-class, where citizens are open minded, peaceful and welcoming.
Madrid enjoys a well-earned reputation as a welcoming destination that embraces diversity, and the city’s annual Madrid Pride has become a truly must-see event on the global LGBT tourism calendar, suported by stars like Kylie Minogue or Ricky Martin.
Next June 2017, Madrid will mark the 40th anniversary of its first Pride parade in the Chueca neighborhood. It’s going to be impressive. If we have a look at the past WorldPride events, this is obvious that Madrid will set an unprecedented standard!

Unfortunately canceled… Jerusalem’s government canceled the parade, saying there were not enough soldiers to protect marchers. A week of events took place as scheduled and included five conferences, a film festival, exhibitions, and literary and political events. Here we are! Yet Madrid is world famous for its “regular” Gay Pride, welcoming over 1 million of LGBT each year during 7 days of events & parties.In 2016, Madrid’s parliament building and city hall were yet festooned in rainbow colors to mark the event.

Utilizado como euforizante y estimulante sexual, el popper puede llegar a convertirse en una droga "explosiva" si se mezcla con otras sustancias como la Viagra o el Cialis, utilizadas por algunos sujetos para prolongar el vigor sexual y multiplicar el placer. "Si se combina con potenciadores de la erección, puede llegar a provocar síncopes.
"Puede provocar lesiones oculares, concretamente en la retina que, por lo general, suelen ser reversibles". El grado de recuperación suele ser variable y depende en buena medida del tiempo transcurrido desde la detección.

Plaza de Pedro Zerolo
El Ayuntamiento de Madrid aprobó en 2015 el cambio del nombre de la plaza de Vázquez de Mella para homenajear al político y activista LGTB Pedro Zerolo.
Vázquez de Mella ha sido un político tradicionalista, escritor y filósofo español, ideólogo del carlismo (en su vertiente germanófila) durante la Restauración. De elocuente palabra, portentosa memoria y brillante capacidad para la oratoria y la política. Las ideas centrales en su pensamiento eran la tradición, la monarquía, la unidad de España a través del regionalismo y del foralismo y la concepción orgánica de la sociedad donde se reclama la soberanía no para el Estado sino para la sociedad a través de sus organizaciones naturales: la familia, el municipio, la región.
Pedro Javier González Zerolo, conocido como Pedro Zerolo (Caracas, Venezuela; 20 de julio de 1960-Madrid, España; 9 de junio de 2015), fue un político español, miembro de la Ejecutiva Federal del Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) y secretario de Movimientos Sociales y Relaciones con las ONG del mismo partido.
Zerolo fue además uno de los activistas LGBT más importantes de la Historia de España, así como uno de los mayores promotores de la ampliación del derecho al matrimonio y a la adopción de parejas homosexuales en el país. Pedro Zerolo fue considerado también como un icono de la comunidad LGBT de España.
