People are very rare

To begin with, they are happy all day long. And they talk a lot. Here, when people cross the street with a friend, they spend more time saying hello to each other than friends do in another city... when they meet!

Everyone greets you, and they invite you to sit down for a drink on a terrace when you walk. They also like to say "my boy" even though you are 80 years old and talk and talk in all languages: the taxi driver, the cashier, the waiter... sometimes they even make you laugh. A very strange thing.

La palabra clave para entender la cocina de fusión es “mezcla”. Mezcla de ingredientes, técnicas y culturas procedentes de distintos lugares del mundo.

La cocina de fusión es a la vez un fenómeno nuevo y antiquísimo.

¿Acaso la Tortilla de patatas no tuvo que esperar a que las patatas llegaran de América para ser inventada? ¿O el Gazpacho y el Salmorejo a que los tomates se hicieran populares? ¿Y qué decir de la Pasta, el icono de la gastronomía italiana, tan en deuda con los árabes y los chinos?

Entre las cocinas de fusión propiamente dichas, sin duda hay que citar la Nikkei, que nace de la mezcla entre los sabores de Perú y las técnicas de la cocina japonesa.

El Ceviche, el plato nacional del país andino, es la quintaesencia de esta fusión.

México ha dejado parte de sus genes en la cocina Tex-Mex (fusión entre la cocina estadounidense y la mexicana) y Perú ha sido el epicentro de otra interesante cocina de fusión: la Chifa.

La palabra chifa derivaría, según algunos, del sonido de la expresión “shen-fa”, con la que los inmigrantes chinos que se habían establecido en Perú llamaban a comer arroz.

Para otros procedería de la palabra “fai-chi”, palillos. El arroz chaufa -arroz frito con huevos, cerdo salteado y salsa de soja–, el lomo y los tallarines saltados son algunas de las especialidades de esta cocina de fusión chino-peruana.

Nuevo plan estratégico de Why Tenerife? para captar más inversores

Las estrategias de la plataforma se apoyan en estudios de inteligencia de mercado que identifican el potencial y las oportunidades de la isla frente a otros destinos

Why Tenerife?, la plataforma de atracción de inversiones para la isla, ha aprobado un nuevo plan estratégico tras un estudio de mercado encargado a una consultora especializada, y que tiene como objetivo que la estrategia sea más certera para captar más inversores.

Dicha plataforma está integrada por el Cabildo de Tenerife, la Autoridad Portuaria de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, la Cámara de Comercio, la Zona Especial Canaria y la Zona Franca, según recuerda la corporación insular en un comunicado.

En el estudio realizado por la consultora se utiliza la inteligencia de datos y las tendencias actuales en las Inversiones Extranjeras Directas (IED) para proponer acciones que posicionen a Tenerife, frente a otras regiones, como un destino ideal para vivir y establecer un negocio.

"Nuestro objetivo es posicionar a Tenerife como una marca reconocida internacionalmente, como el destino mejor valorado por los inversores, que apuestan por el balanceo entre calidad de vida y una excelente ecosistema para invertir", destaca Liskel Álvarez, consejera de Acción Exterior del Cabildo de Tenerife.

"Se trata de una oportunidad única para Tenerife, atraer proyectos de inversión no especulativos y a largo plazo, que generarán empleo y riqueza", añade Álvarez.

La estrategia de Why Tenerife? persigue ofrecer una oferta diferenciada y más atractiva que las propuestas por otras agencias de promoción económica, con el objetivo de conseguir inversiones y nuevos proyectos.

Este estudio, realizado por la consultora SiFdi, apunta entre otras ideas clave que los factores determinantes para invertir no siempre responden a patrones establecidos, sino que dependen más de las singularidades de cada tipo de inversor.

Es este un punto de partida importante que Why Tenerife? tendrá en cuenta para ofrecer una estrategia de atracción individualizada y dirigida a captar la emoción de las distintas clases de inversor y sector.

A la hora de establecer una empresa, abrir una delegación o desarrollar un negocio digital, Tenerife ofrece, además de ventajas fiscales e infraestructuras de transporte y conectividad de mercancías, personas y datos, una propuesta de valor única: una destacable calidad de vida que puede ser determinante a la hora de atraer inversores a la isla.

Por todo ello, una de las metas del nuevo plan es ampliar la definición y alcance de la plataforma Why Tenerife? Las TIC y la economía digital, las industrias creativas, start-up, astrofísica, salud y biotecnología, economía azul, logística y los servicios especializados del turismo son los mercados prioritarios a los que se dirigirán los mayores esfuerzos.

Por otro lado, el clima, la posición geoestratégica de la isla -puente entre Europa, América y África-, y sus incentivos fiscales son algunas de las fortalezas de Tenerife, a las que hay que añadir la disponibilidad de personal local, la capacidad de atraer y retener a profesionales cualificados nacionales e internacionales y una importante concentración de científicos y técnicos por la existencia de centros de I+D relevantes.

El proyecto cuenta así con una original estrategia de marketing y comunicación, explica la consejera, que huye de las propuestas tradicionales de las agencias de promoción económica.

"Se plantea trabajar en seducir al inversor, poniendo el acento en las personas que toman decisiones y que lo hacen en función del sitio donde quieren vivir. Y en condiciones de vida, costes operativos y naturales, Tenerife sale ganando respecto a otras regiones" , afirma.

El plan entiende que Tenerife es un destino único y singular en Europa: el lugar de la Unión Europea con las mayores horas de sol, tiene una de las supercomputadoras más eficientes el mundo, infraestructuras excepcionales para industrias creativas y el impuesto de sociedades más bajo de Europa.
